Ariake’s operation will grow in Harrisonburg
Ariake U.S.A. Inc. ,a manufacturer of seasonings for the food industry, will invest $17 million to expand its manufacturing operation by 20,000 square feet in Harrisonburg.
Virginia successfully competed against Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin for the project, which will create 22 new jobs, according to Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s office. The company currently has 90 employees in Harrisonburg.
The Ariake Group is an international food processing company with products including bouillon, consommé, sauce bases, noodle soups and snack seasonings. It has plants in Belgium, China, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan and the U.S.
Ariake U.S.A. is based in Harrisonburg, where it opened its production facility in 1990. It owns a 34-acre campus and has expanded its facility several times over the past 27 years.
