Ari­ake’s op­er­a­tion will grow in Har­rison­burg

Ari­ake U.S.A. Inc. ,a man­u­fac­turer of sea­son­ings for the food in­dus­try, will in­vest $17 million to ex­pand its man­u­fac­tur­ing op­er­a­tion by 20,000 square feet in Har­rison­burg.

Vir­ginia suc­cess­fully com­peted against Illi­nois, In­di­ana and Wis­con­sin for the project, which will cre­ate 22 new jobs, ac­cord­ing to Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s of­fice. The com­pany cur­rently has 90 em­ploy­ees in Har­rison­burg.

The Ari­ake Group is an in­ter­na­tional food pro­cess­ing com­pany with prod­ucts in­clud­ing bouil­lon, con­sommé, sauce bases, noo­dle soups and snack sea­son­ings. It has plants in Bel­gium, China, France, Ja­pan, the Nether­lands, Tai­wan and the U.S.

Ari­ake U.S.A. is based in Har­rison­burg, where it opened its pro­duc­tion fa­cil­ity in 1990. It owns a 34-acre cam­pus and has ex­panded its fa­cil­ity sev­eral times over the past 27 years.
