76, of Ash­land Farm, New Kent County, passed away peace­fully on Oc­to­ber 11, 2017. San­dra was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She was the daugh­ter of the late William E. and Frances Lip­scomb Chad­well. San­dra is sur­vived by her hus­band of 57 years, Ge­orge W. Fisher; son, Ge­orge W. Fisher Jr.; brother, William E. Chad­well Jr.; first cousins, Ken­dall Lip­scomb and Ju­lian Lip­scomb (Ritchie); sis­ter-in-law, Ma­bel F. Ward (Jimmy); and many lov­ing nieces and neph­ews. San­dra grew up in Rich­mond and grad­u­ated from Thomas Jef­fer­son High School. She worked at AT&T. Af­ter mar­riage, San­dra quickly adapted to the role of a farmer’s wife and was al­ways sup­port­ive of her hus­band’s en­deav­ors. She was in­volved in sup­port­ing the New Kent chap­ter of the Amer­i­can Red Cross, serv­ing as it’s chair­man, the New Kent His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety and was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Nelly Custis Ju­nior Woman’s Club. A grave­side ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 15, in Prov­i­dence United Methodist Church Ceme­tery, 4001 New Kent High­way in Quin­ton, Va.
