was born on Novem­ber 20, 1935, in Fayet­teville, N.C. to Eva Mae and Sonny Al­ford. She died peace­fully at her home in Rich­mond, Va., on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 2, 2017. Anna re­tired from pri­vate duty nurs­ing af­ter 30 years of ded­i­cated ser­vice. She was pre­ceded in death by hus­bands, Wil­lie Lee White Sr. and Johnny Ferebee; brother, Lev­ern Al­ford; and grand­son, Shu­dar­ryl Al­ford. She is sur­vived by one daugh­ter, Hor­lles Wil­liams (John); five sons, Ron­nie C., Wayne W.(Bonita), Wil­lie L. Jr. (Janet), Michael M. (Sab­rina) and Eric Q. (Roxie) White; sib­ling, Lionel Al­ford (Joan); 10 grand­chil­dren, Mario Al­ford, Bran­don, Christo­pher and Court­ney White, KiAun­dra Hurt and Duante White, Fi­nay, Erica, Chauncey White and Keith Moore; three great­grand­chil­dren, Kayla Hill, Mar­lie Al­ford and Quinn LeShe White. She leaves be­hind an abun­dance of lov­ing fam­ily mem­bers and friends. Anna was bap­tized as one of Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses on Jan­uary 18, 1972 and served faith­fully in the For­est Hill Con­gre­ga­tion un­til the time of her death. Anna spent many hours aid­ing others to be­come lovers of Je­ho­vah. The memo­rial ser­vice will be held at 2 p.m. Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 14, 2017, at the King­dom Hall of Je­ho­vah’s Wit­nesses, 5101 Snead Rd., Rich­mond, Va. 23224.
