82, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., passed away peace­fully with his fam­ily at his side on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 1, 2017. He was born in Portsmouth, Va., re­tired to North Carolina and spent his last year in Rich­mond. He was pre­ceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Blanche Estelle Blow. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, ob­tain­ing the rank of Cap­tain and later, made his ca­reer fly­ing for Amer­i­can Air­lines for 27 years. Over the course of his ca­reer, he trav­eled the world. He is sur­vived by his daugh­ter, Cather­ine Reale (Randy) of Stafford, Va.; son, Michael (Carol) of Rich­mond; four grand­chil­dren, Shaun Reale (Kelly) of Fort Worth, Texas, Bryan Reale of Hol­i­day, Fla., Matthew Blow of Nashville, Tenn. and Katharine Gray (Ge­orge) of Rich­mond; and two great­grand­sons, Macklen Henry Reale and Lu­cas Dixon Reale. Noth­ing gave him greater hap­pi­ness than be­ing sur­rounded by his fam­ily and friends. The fam­ily would like to thank the staff at Gay­ton Ter­race, Cap­i­tal Car­ing Hos­pice and Com­fort Keep­ers for their com­pas­sion­ate and lov­ing care dur­ing his great­est time of need. We will be for­ever thank­ful for your de­vo­tion to Frank’s com­fort. A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 1 p.m. on Satur­day, Novem­ber 18, 2017, at Woody Funeral Home, Parham Chapel.
