of Mid­loth­ian, passed away sur­rounded by fam­ily on Mon­day, June 11, 2018. He is sur­vived by his wife, Mary Ann Cole­man; daugh­ter, Dianne Far­row (Ken­neth); son, Douglas Cole­man (Ni­colle); daugh­ter, Dana Sau­fley (Matthew); seven grand­chil­dren, Robert Sam­mons, Zachary Far­row, Mor­gan Cole­man, Joseph Cole­man, Thomas Cole­man, Made­line Sau­fley and Grant Sau­fley; and five great­grand­chil­dren. Bob loved his coun­try as he served in the U.S. Army for two and a half years and seven years in Ac­tive Re­serves. After the mil­i­tary, he grad­u­ated from Vir­ginia Com­mon­wealth Univer­sity and worked at Union Camp for 34 years. His fam­ily was his num­ber one pri­or­ity and he left us with such a legacy. May we all live by his ex­am­ple, love God, smile of­ten, greet every­one you meet, and fight as hard as you can un­til the end. A fu­neral ser­vice is sched­uled for Mon­day, June 18, at noon, at St. Ed­ward’s Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr., North Ch­ester­field, Va. 23235, fol­lowed by burial in Vir­ginia Veter­ans Ceme­tery in Amelia, Va. In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions can be made to the St. Jude Chil­dren’s Re­search Hospi­tal in honor of Robert L. Cole­man.
