Man­teca over­comes Gavino, Sierra

Four Buf­faloes fin­ished with 51s, and Man­teca im­proved to 4-3 in the Val­ley Oak League with its 257-309 win over Sierra at Man­teca Park Golf Course on Thurs­day.

Bryanna Gavino of Sierra (1-5) was low medal­ist with an 8-over 45.

Scor­ing 51s for Man­teca were Bella Gon­za­les, Kylee Eber­lee, Michaela Pang­burn and Meghan Gar­lets. Tay­lor Reed added a 53.

Hailee Looney con­trib­uted a 54 for the Tim­ber­wolves. Hal­lie Trzcin­ski (68), Balkir­sat Kaur (70) and De­siree Me­jias (72) also scored.

Val­ley Foothill League Ripon 164, Bret Harte 177

RIPON — The de­fend­ing VFL North Di­vi­sion cham­pion In­di­ans won their first match of the sea­son after dropping their first three.

Bianca Toledo fin­ished 7-over 39 for medal­ist honors. Myra Toledo scored a

40, Emily Harris a 41 and Kas­sidy Isham a 44.

Jessie Thompsn led Bret Harte (3-2) with a 40.

“The girls are work­ing hard on their games,” Ripon coach Eric Dam­bro­sio said. “They have im­proved since the be­gin­ning of the sea­son. Hope­fully they con­tinue to progress.”
