Event ben­e­fits Man­teca mu­seum

Man­teca His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety’s 26th An­nual Gourmet Sam­pler was a re­sound­ing suc­cess Sun­day af­ter­noon with pur­vey­ors of drink and food serv- ing samples to ben­e­fit the mu­seum.

Jeanie Mars­den were sit­ting just inside the lobby door of­fer­ing raf­fle tick­ets to those at­tend­ing. They have lived in Man­teca for some 18 years af­ter their re­tire­ment from Sun­ny­vale. They have

ded­i­cated count­less hours to the his­tor­i­cal so­ci­ety. Alan worked as an engi­neer with Lock­heed-Martin in a pack­ag­ing pro­gram.

The Man­teca Uni­fied School Dis­trict was rep­re­sented with their Nutri­tion Ed­u­ca­tion pro­gram show­cas­ing the stu­dents’ Wed­nes­day lun­cheon cof­fee shop venue that’s open to the pub­lic at the MUSD of­fice com­plex on Louise Av­enue. Many stu­dents from that pro­gram have gone on to at­tend culi­nary school.

Caro­line El­ness, owner of the Olive Oil Pantry on South Main Street, was on hand with her usual charm of­fer­ing samples of her many choices in oils.

Edi­ble Ar­range­ment original owner Dorothy and Randy Lim were there too with new owner Ed Martin. Martin is a prod­uct of New Haven El­e­men­tary School and East Union High School. Edi­ble Ar­range­ments is lo­cated in the cen­ter an­chored by Chipolte’s on Yosemite Av­enue ad­ja­cent to High­way 99.

The ven­dors in­cluded the Chit Chat Café and Bak­ery, Strings Bar & Grill, Rook­ies Sports Bar & Grill, Café Aroma, Bu­gle Boy Café from the VFW Post, Miner Mart, Mama We­ber’s South­ern Kitchen & Bar­be­cue, Peace, Love, Shave Ice, Guido’s Take-U-Bake Pizza, Del­i­cato Fam­ily Vine­yards, Costco Whole­sale, Rocky Moun­tain Choco­late Fac­tory, Sakana Ja­panese Bistro, Tan­doori Grill, An­ge­lano’s , Car­nice­ria Rosita, Pan­era, Edi­ble Ar­range­ments, Hong Kong Restau­rant and the Olive Oil Pantry.
