Women’s Club En­chi­lada Sale Con­cludes Its Sea­son

The River­bank Fed­er­ated Women’s Club re­cently held its last fundraiser of the sea­son, the en­chi­lada sale that wraps up the year for the group.

Af­ter pre­par­ing the in­gre­di­ents the day be­fore, the group gath­ered at River­bank’s Scout Hall to pack- age them, in­gre­di­ent by in­gre­di­ent, five to a box, in assem­bly line fash­ion. Mem­bers of the club worked most of two days to pre­pare, assem­ble and de­liver ap­prox­i­mately 1,000 en­chi­ladas.

Next up for the group is its Inau­gu­ra­tion meet­ing on Tues­day, May 17, where of­fi­cers for next year will be in­stalled. Then, the group takes a sum­mer hia­tus, leav­ing time for trips, va­ca­tions and other ac­tiv­i­ties.

They re­con­vene in the fall, ac­cord­ing to cur­rent co-pres­i­dent Mar­i­lyn McRitchie.
