CSEA, RUSD Reach Ten­ta­tive Agree­ment

The Cal­i­for­nia School Em­ploy­ees As­so­ci­a­tion (CSEA), Chap­ter 31 has ac­cepted a ten­ta­tive agree­ment with the River­bank Uni­fied School Dis­trict (RUSD). The two groups have been in ne­go­ti­a­tions since the fall of 2015.

The agree­ment in­cludes a 5 per­cent salary for CSEA em­ploy­ees for the 2015-16 school year that will be retroac­tive, if ap­proved, to July 1, 2015 and a 2.5 per­cent off-the-salary sched­ule bonus.

The 2015-16 ten­ta­tive agree­ment was ac­cepted this past Fri­day and will be taken to the CSEA mem­bers for con­sid­er­a­tion and if ap­proved the agree­ment will be taken to the board of trus­tees for fi­nal ap­proval.

“I’d like to thank both bar­gain­ing teams for work­ing to­gether to­wards the ten­ta­tive agree­ment,” said Dr. Daryl Camp, RUSD Su­per­in­ten­dent.

“We are happy to fi­nally come to a ten­ta­tive agree­ment,” stated Diana Gon­za­lez, Pres­i­dent CSEA River­bank Chap­ter #31. “We be­lieve our mem­ber­ship will be happy with what we have ne­go­ti­ated in the TA (Ten­ta­tive Agree­ment).”

The Dis­trict is cur­rently in me­di­a­tion with the River­bank Teach­ers As­so­ci­a­tion and are sched­uled to hold their next ses­sion on Wed­nes­day, June 1.
