Spring Celebration At Grind­ing Rock

The Jack­son Rancheria Band of Mi­wuk In­di­ans in­vites the com­mu­nity to join them for the Fifth An­nual Chaw’se Day event on Satur­day, May 26 and Sun­day, May 27 at the In­dian Grind­ing Rock State His­toric Park.

Over the past four years, the Jack­son Rancheria Band of Mi­wuk In­di­ans have led and com­pleted the restora­tion ef­forts at the In­dian Grind­ing Rock State His­toric Park, in­clud­ing the tra­di­tional Round­house. They now in­vite the pub­lic to join them in wel­com­ing Spring with Na­tive Amer­i­can games, cui­sine, danc­ing, crafts, guided park tours, and much more.

The event is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days and ad­mis­sion is free.
