GERALD LEE COLE June 14, 1968 – July 13, 2018
Gerald known to most as “Cole” and for all those who knew him loved him. He was born in Modesto, Ca. on Flag Day to parents Merle and Jerry Cole. He had one elder sibling sister Kimberly Cole. All in which preceded him in death. He was raised in Riverbank, Ca. and attended Riverbank Schools. He was active in many activities during his school years. One highlighted period that debuted in the local newspaper, when he and fellow classmates were the PowerPuff Cheerleaders for the junior high school.
While continuing his education he played high school baseball and was a proud graduate of the “Class of 86” from Riverbank High School. After school he ventured forward and worked for his father’s company Jerry Cole’s Electric, “Let me get into your shorts.” Cole continued to follow his father’s footsteps and formed an understanding and respect for electricity. He was driven by the current which arced him forward as he established his own company in which he sold years later. He created many solid work relationships with members of the community and continued doing side jobs up until the last weeks of his life.
Cole had a love for the outdoors and looked forward to his days taking out his boat, kicking back and “just fishin’.” He had an enormous heart who generously would lend out a helping hand for many. He was a very kind and giving man with a candid sense of humor.
Cole could find humor in just about everything. He always wore a coy Cole kinda smile. Definitely a unique one of a kind best friend anyone could ever ask for. A graveside service will be held at the Oakdale Citizens Cemetery, at 10:30 a.m. on August 11, 2018. A Remembering Cole Party will be held honoring him following the graveside service from 12 p.m. to sunset welcoming all at 5006 River Road, Oakdale, Ca 95361.
Bring your memories, loved ones and enjoy sharing Cole’s life with all of those who love him.
