GHC men 93, Albany Tech 50

-

It was another huge win for the Chargers on Saturday as Georgia Highlands had five players score in double digits in a 93-50 GCAA win over Albany Tech.

The Chargers’ high-pressure full

court press paid high dividends early as GHC (12-0, 1-0 GCAA) forced 23 turnovers in the game. Ty Cockfield and Ricco Bonds scored 16 points each to lead the team.

“Ty and Ricco had spectacular games tonight, as did our entire team,” GHC head coach Phil Gaffney said. “It’s always good to get a conference win.”

Kyvon Davenport chipped in 15 points, while Massamba Dioum and Donovan Ham had 10 each. The Chargers out rebounded Albany Tech 53-29 and had 43 points off the bench compared to Albany’s eight.

The Chargers will return to action Tuesday on the road at Gadsden State.
