The Etowah Chapter 4021 of AARP will meet Thursday at 11:30 a.m. This meeting will include installation of officers for 2017 fellowship projects, informational speakers and potluck lunch at the Charles C. Parker Center, 1325 Kingston Road. To join or renew your membership in the Etowah Chapter you must already be a member of the national AARP. The cost for chapter membership is $5 per calendar year. Lutheran Services of Georgia’s Heritage

Adoption Program partners with DFCS to find families for children waiting in Georgia’s foster care system. An information session will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Rome office, 336 Broad St., above Jefferson’s. Information sessions are held on the third Thursday of every month.
