The 45th annual Armuchee Labor Day Bluegrass Festival
will be held Thursday through Sunday at Armuchee Music Park, 899 Turkey Mountain Road. Phyllis Cole of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame will emcee. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, 4:45 p.m. on Friday and 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. A worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. Three-day passes are $21 each. The 28th annual Running Water Pow Wow will be held Saturday and Sunday at Ridge Ferry Park, 363 Riverside Parkway. The gates will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m.10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Grand entry is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets sold at the gate. Admission is $8 for ages 13-64. Ages 12 and younger and 65 and older get in free.
Roman Holiday, the city of Rome’s public excursion boat, is offering the summer’s final public tour at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Each tour is limited to 40 passengers.
