2 charged with pos­ses­sion of syn­thetic mar­i­juana

A Rome man and woman face felony drug charges after a traf­fic stop in West Rome.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd County Jail re­ports:

Le­to­nio Christo­pher Allen, 27, of 215 Hasty Road, and Pamela Regina Thomp­son, 45, of 139 E. 14th St., were ar­rested Tues­day night near the in­ter­sec­tion of Shorter Av­enue and Marigold.

Allen was stopped just after 9 p.m. for driv­ing with­out head­lights, and of­fi­cers found a quan­tity of syn­thetic mar­i­juana inside the cen­ter con­sole of the ve­hi­cle. Both Allen and Thomp­son were charged with felony pos­ses­sion of syn­thetic mar­i­juana.

Allen also was charged with the mis­de­meanors driv­ing with­out head­lights, giv­ing a deputy a false name and date of birth and driv­ing on a sus­pended li­cense. He was re­leased from jail Wednesday on bond.

Thomp­son was also charged with mis­de­meanor ob­struc­tion for fail­ing to give au­thor­i­ties true in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing Allen. She was be­ing held with­out bond Wednesday night on a felony pro­ba­tion vi­o­la­tion.

Re­port: Man had Jeep stolen in Tenn.

A Cal­houn man was jailed in Rome after a war­rant was is­sued against him for an in­ci­dent that oc­curred in April.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd County Jail re­ports:

David Lee An­drews, 31, of 164 Ridge­crest Drive,

Cal­houn, was be­ing held Wednesday night pend­ing a $3,500 bond.

An­drews is charged with felony theft by re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty for be­ing in pos­ses­sion of a 2005 Jeep Wran­gler on April 5 on the New Cal­houn High­way in Rome.

The ve­hi­cle had been re­ported stolen from a man in Chattanooga, Ten­nessee.
