Early vot­ing lo­ca­tion open again to­day

Rome City Com­mis­sion seats, the Rome school board, a SPLOST and an ELOST are on the bal­lot.

Early vot­ing con­tin­ues to­day through Fri­day for the Nov. 7 elec­tion de­cid­ing two coun­ty­wide sales-tax pro­pos­als and open seats on Rome and Cave Spring elected boards.

Rome City Com­mis­sion can­di­dates an­swer a se­ries of ques­tions on page A8 in to­day’s pa­per.

Bal­lots may be cast to­day at the Floyd County Ad­min­is­tra­tion Build­ing, 12 E. Fourth Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing also will be open through the week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with a sec­ond uni­ver­sal polling precinct in West Rome at Gar­den Lakes Bap­tist Church, 2200 Red­mond Cir­cle.

The Rome Civic Cen­ter on Jack­son

Hill will fol­low the same sched­ule, start­ing Tues­day.

All precincts will be open on Elec­tion Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As of Satur­day, 1,196 peo­ple had cast early votes in Floyd County, ac­cord­ing to Elec­tions Su­per­vi­sor Wil­lie Green.
