A free Truck or Treat event spon­sored by Rome-Floyd Parks & Recre­ation is set for 5-9 p.m. Tues­day at Ridge Ferry Park. There also will be in­flat­a­bles to play on and food trucks on site.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 911 N. Broad St., is hold­ing an All Saints’ vigil Mass on Tues­day at 6 p.m. fol­lowed by Trunk or Treat for chil­dren.

Morn­ing Pointe, 660 Jolly Road, Cal­houn, will host trunk or treat on Tues­day at 6 p.m. To help give out candy call 706-629-0777.

The Rome Down­town De­vel­op­ment Au­thor­ity is invit­ing chil­dren ages 12 and un­der to Trick or Treat on Broad Street from 3-5 p.m. Tues­day at par­tic­i­pat­ing busi­nesses.

Rome Seven Hills Ro­tary will host District Gov­er­nor David Cooper on Tues­day at noon at Coosa Coun­try Club, 100 Bran­ham Ave. Visi­tors wel­come.

The Shorter Univer­sity De­part­ment of So­cial Sci­ences and De­part­ment

of Chris­tian Stud­ies will host “Re­for­ma­tion: Then and Now,” a series of 15-minute lec­tures on the Re­for­ma­tion, from 1-3 p.m. Tues­day in Brookes Chapel, Shorter Univer­sity, 315 Shorter Ave.

Gar­den­ers will present a free “Tree Walk on Myr­tle Hill” on Tues­day from 2-4 p.m. in the park­ing lot of the Myr­tle Hill Mau­soleum, 76 Bran­ham Ave. The pro­gram will be pre­sented by city ar­borist Terry Paige and Keith Mick­ler, Floyd County ex­ten­sion agent.
