Epic! Reading

Rome News-Tribune - - YOUNG ROMANS -

Second grade was blessed this school year with a class set of chrome books that we share with third grade. This has not only been extremely educational, but also a lot of fun! Students have been utilizing the chrome books to access the program Epic! which is a digital library that includes over 25,000 books and educational videos that range in topic and reading level. Each student has a personalized account so that they can read and save books that are a perfect fit for them. Students also have the option to have books read to them. This is not only enjoyable, it also allows students to hear what fluent readers sound like and what it means to read in a fluid and expressive way. We are enjoying reading in second grade!
