Pedestrian critically injured

A 58-year- old pedestrian is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle in Southfield Thursday evening, Oct. 29. The crash occurred at 12 Mile and Southfield roads at about 7:20 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and an investigation is ongoing, Southfield police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 248-796-5500.

This is the third pedestrian accident in Oakland County in less than a month. A 63-year-old Troy man died after he was struck at East Maple and John R roads in Troy on Tuesday evening. Additionally, a White Lake Township woman died after a vehicle struck her Oct. 21 on Highland Road in the township.
