Detroit Lions receiver Herman Moore will serve as the Salvation Army’s 2020 Red Kettle campaign corporate chairperson. Moore will act as the public face for the campaign helping to raise awareness and encourage the public to donate and help the Salvation Army Rescue Christmas and reach their $8 million Red Kettle funding goal.

“We can’t say enough how excited and grateful we are to bring Mr. Moore and his team aboard for our 2020 Red Kettle Campaign,” Major Timothy Meyer, general secretary, metro Detroit area commander and chief operating officer of The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division said in a news release.

“The Salvation Army would not be able to Rescue Christmas and support hundreds of thousands of metro Detroit’s most vulnerable citizens if not for our partners and volunteers at places such as Team 84, LLC and Team Business Solutions. With their help, our ability to raise the funds needed to feed and shelter those who need it the most increases substantially.”

Volunteers and supporters can virtually bellring or choose to host a virtual Red Kettle, as Moore is doing. Create or support a Red Kettle by visiting salmich.org/RescueChristmas.
