IBERIABANK in Lee County has been acknowledged with a Business Citizenship Award from the Horizon Council and Lee County Economic Development. Staffers in Estero and other offices improve life in Lee County, donating off-work hours to select causes. Winners were named at a Hyatt Regency Coconut Point luncheon in Estero. “All of these winners have unique stories and experiences that truly reflect the diversity and spirit of Lee County’s businesses culture,” says Lawrence Antonucci, Horizon Council chair.

iBERIABANK, to earn the distinction, had demonstrated financial, volunteer and active involvement in philanthropic organizations. Since entering the Lee County market in 2009, iBERIABANK has been a strong supporter of the community, offering employee volunteer hours, branch fundraising activities and direct financial contributions. The bank last year gave to causes ranging from health care to education, donating more than $50,000. The Horizon Council is a public-private board established in 1991 to advise the Lee Board of County Commissioners on economic development issues. Details are at leecountybusiness.com.
