STRIPED BASS TROLLING SPREAD
Capt. Gene Quigley has added a pair of heavy tandem parachute jigs called a Mojo to his striper spread. He uses a 20-pound trolling outfit spooled with 50-pound braided line. Starting with a three-way swivel, he ties on a 5-foot dropper of 80-pound mono to a 20- to 24-ounce parachute jig. From the other eye of the three-way, he ties 15 feet of 80-pound to the 6- to 8-ounce trailer jig. He pulls the lures fast enough that they bounce off the bottom.
