San Antonio is waiting in line to receive the first so-called “next generation” Dunkin’ Donuts store in Texas.
The brand has announced plans to open the modernized shop at 10029 San Pedro Ave. about a half-mile north of Loop 410 this fall.
The new model features an updated design aesthetic and several technology upgrades. Nitro-infused cold brew coffee and other on-trend cold beverages will be available from a brewpub-style tap system. Customers can order from digital kiosks in the store, or place an order from a phone and pick it up at a dedicated mobile order drive-thru.
Dunkin’ Donuts, launched in 1950 in Quincy, Mass., has expanded to more than 12,500 locations in 46 countries across the globe. In January, the brand’s first next gen shop opened in Quincy.
