Em­biid, 76ers work over­time in win

PHILADEL­PHIA — Joel Em­biid scored 16 of his 42 points in the fourth quar­ter to help the Philadel­phia 76ers beat the Char­lotte Hor­nets 133-132 in over­time Fri­day night.

The Hor­nets fought back from a 21-point deficit and led by five with 1:18 re­main­ing in reg­u­la­tion be­fore the Six­ers forced ex­tra time.

Kemba Walker scored 19 of his 30 points in the fourth for the Hor­nets.

Em­biid also had 18 re­bounds, and hit a ty­ing 3 with 34.4 sec­onds to go.


Caris LeVert hit a floater in the lane with 0.3 sec­onds left and Brook­lyn scored the last six points to win at Den­ver.

Den­ver’s Nikola Jo­kic had a sea­son-high 37 points and tied his ca­reer best with 21 re­bounds.


Joe In­gles had 27 points, Dono­van Mitchell added 21, and Joe Crow­der net­ted 20 as host Utah downed Bos­ton.

Terry Rozier topped the Celtics with 22 points.


Nikola Vuce­vic had 21 points and 14 re­bounds and D.J. Au­gustin came up with big plays in the fi­nal two min­utes to help Or­lando win at home.

Au­gustin had six points, an as­sist and a steal af­ter Wash­ing­ton cut a 25-point deficit to one at 106-105 with 2:30 re­main­ing. Aaron Gor­don added 20 points for Or­lando.

Evan Fournier and rookie Mo Bamba had 15 points each, and Au­gustin fin­ished with 11.

Bradley Beal led the Wizards with 27 points, and John Wall had 19 points and 12 as­sists.

Af­ter Wash­ing­ton pulled within one, Au­gustin hit a 3pointer and as­sisted Ter­rence Ross’ layup. Then, af­ter Au­gustin’s steal, Fournier hit an­other 3-pointer for a 114-105 lead.

Af­ter tak­ing a nine-point lead early , the Wizards were outscored 45-18 over the next 13½ min­utes. An­dre Drum­mond had 23 points and 11 re­bounds, Stan­ley John­son added a sea­son-high 22 points as Detroit won at At­lanta.

The Pis­tons scored 74 points and led by 23 at half­time with Blake Grif­fin, the NBA’s fifth-lead­ing scorer, 0 for 2 from the field.

PAC­ERS 110, HEAT 102

Vic­tor Oladipo scored 22 points and dished out 10 as­sists as the Pac­ers won at Mi­ami.

The Pac­ers trailed 102-101 with 1:01 to play when Bo­jan Bog­danovic (16 points) gave In­di­ana the lead on a short jumper off an as­sist from Oladipo.

Af­ter a Mi­ami miss, Oladipo scored to put the Pac­ers up 105-102 with 26 sec­onds to play.

Kelly Olynyk score 20 points and Has­san White­side added 11 points and 20 re­bounds for the Heat.


Wil­lie Cauley-Stein led five Sacra­mento play­ers in dou­ble fig­ures in scor­ing with 25 points as the host Kings topped Min­nesota and Karl-An­thony Towns.

Towns fin­ished with 39 points and 19 re­bounds.
