CARLSBAD
The Carlsbad City Council will meet in closed session at 2 p.m. Tuesday to discuss labor negotiations. In regular session at 3 p.m., the council will hear a report and consider a resolution to provide up to a $2.25 million guaranty for a $2.5 million credit option for Clean Energy Alliance. The council will also consider directing staff to develop
an alternative credit option to fund the CEA’S 2020-21 budget with a $4.45 million loan from the general fund. The council will also consider a ballot measure for the Nov. 3 election on City Council compensation, and will discuss council compensation adjustments for 2019 and 2020. An ordinance dropping the speed limit to 35 mph on Avenida Encinas from Cannon Road to Palomar Airport Road will be introduced.
ESCONDIDO
The Escondido City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday to hear a presentation on the recent community survey on support for a proposed 1 percent sales tax, and will discuss whether to place it on the November ballot. The council will also consider placing a term limits measure for the mayor, council members and city treasurer on the ballot. A public hearing will be held on whether to allow weddings and receptions in the rear yard of the
historical Wohlford-ting House at 209 E. Fourth Ave. Another hearing will be held on a proposal to allow oversized directional signs at car washes.
SAN MARCOS
The San Marcos City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, when it will levy tax assessments for the residents of Landscaping and Lighting District No. 1 and Vallecitos Town Center Street Maintenance District.
ENCINITAS
The Encinitas Union School District board has canceled its regularly scheduled meeting for Tuesday.
ESCONDIDO
The Escondido Union School District board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
FALLBROOK
The Fallbrook Union High School District board will meet in closed session at 3 p.m. Monday to discuss personnel, litigation and labor negotiations. In regular session at 4:30 p.m., the board will discuss a one-year extension of the superintendent’s contract through 2023 and a $5,400 pay increase. The board will also consider the sale of $12 million in general obligation bonds.
OCEANSIDE
The Oceanside Unified School District board is slated to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
SOLANA BEACH
The Solana Beach School District board is scheduled to meet in closed session at 5:15 p.m. Thursday and in regular session at 6:30 p.m.
