More solar allegations come to light

-

SolarCity’s fight with SunPower is heating up, as the biggest U.S. rooftop solar company filed a lawsuit saying the second-biggest panel producer in the country stole customer information and trade secrets. San Mateo’s SolarCity made the allegations Tuesday, a day after it was sued by a SunPower unit and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, also alleging theft of trade secrets. SolarCity‘s complaint says that a former project development manager “downloaded hundreds of commercial customer records” before leaving the company and joining SunPower this year. Natalie Wymer, a spokeswoman for San Jose’s SunPower, declined to comment on the pending litigation.
