Not outrageous

San Francisco Chronicle Late Edition - - OPINION -

Here’s a question for Donald Trump’s spokesman Sean Spicer, who, at the president-elect’s first news conference in six months, complained that it was “outrageous” and “highly irresponsible” for Buzzfeed.com to print unverified and salacious reports about his boss just days before he will take the oath of office: How is this action any less outrageous or highly irresponsible than FBI Director James Comey’s decision to publicly speculate that there might be more to Hillary Clinton’s emails on Anthony Weiner’s computer (there weren’t any) just days before the 2016 presidential election?
