Michael James Harold

Michael James Harold was born in March of 1940 and passed away in South San Francisco, July 18, 2017. Michael worked for Pac Bell for 23 years and was retired for 27 years. During his retirement, he went back to college and become a chef. He spent many summers in Yosemite at Camp Mather as a baker and a cook.

Michael enjoyed so many activities throughout his life which included hiking, rock climbing, fishing, camping, traveling and cruising. In his later years, you could catch him walking through the San Francisco Zoo almost daily.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marlene; his three children, Michael, Kathleen and Karen and their spouses, Anne, Ann Marie and Jay. Michael also had five grandchild­ren who adored him, Michael, Kevin, Kaitlyn, Jessica and Lisa; and his extended family and friends. He will be missed by all of us. We loved him dearly and will continue to honor him throughout our lives, through his children, grandchild­ren, and greatgrand­children to follow. We love you.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 in the Tiffany Chapel of Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the San Francisco Zoo are appreciate­d.
