Diana Frances Heafey, lov­ing wife, mother, grand­mother and friend passed away on Septem­ber 14, 2017 in San Fran­cisco.

Diana, a San Fran­cisco na­tive and de­vout Catholic, was born on Jan­uary 25, 1937 to Fran­cis C. Devlin II and El­iz­a­beth Bar­bata Devlin. She at­tended St. Paul Gram­mar School, was a 1954 grad­u­ate of St. Paul High School and at­tended San Fran­cisco Col­lege for Women (Lone Moun­tain), re­ceiv­ing a BA in 1958 and an MA in 1960.

Af­ter grad­u­a­tion Diana worked as a school teacher, ini­tially for the San Fran­cisco Unified School Dis­trict and then for over 30 years as a math teacher at St. Bren­dan School where she was also ac­tive in the Par­ish com­mu­nity serv­ing as Pres­i­dent of the St. Bren­dan School Mother’s Club. She also served as trea­surer of San Fran­cisco Arch­dioce­san Coun­cil of Catholic Women where for many years she helped or­ga­nize an­nual fundrais­ers.

She en­joyed spend­ing time with her grand­chil­dren, read­ing mys­ter­ies, and trav­el­ing through­out Cal­i­for­nia and the West.

Diana is sur­vived by Thomas, her hus­band of 56 years, her sons Michael, his wife Nancy and their sons Matthew and Wil­liam, Wil­liam, his wife Julie-Anne and their daugh­ters Madeleine and Char­lotte and Brian, his wife Jen­nifer and their sons Luke and Jack. She is also sur­vived by her brother Frank (Nancy) and many friends and fam­ily. She was pre­de­ceased by her sis­ter Lisa.

Friends and fam­ily may visit on Mon­day Septem­ber 18 at 6PM with a Rosary at 7PM at St. Bren­dan Catholic Church, 29 Rock­away Ave., San Fran­cisco. A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will be held Tues­day, Septem­ber 19 at 10:30 AM also at St. Bren­dan Church. Com­mit­tal to fol­low at Holy Cross Catholic Ceme­tery, Colma.

In lieu of flow­ers the fam­ily is sug­gest­ing do­na­tions to St. Bren­dan School, San Fran­cisco, CA.
