Wal­mart will de­vote a sec­tion on its web­site to up­scale Lord & Taylor, the lat­est strate­gic part­ner­ship as re­tail­ers make al­liances. Fi­nan­cial de­tails of the part­ner­ship, which will start next spring, were not dis­closed. Lord & Taylor hopes to at­tract new cus­tomers who al­ready buy higher-end prod­ucts on the site. Wal­mart, which has bought trendy fash­ion brands ModCloth and Bono­bos, is at­tempt­ing to cre­ate a pre­mium on­line fash­ion des­ti­na­tion.
