Dolphins set to release Suh

-

Miami is discussing releasing five-time Pro Bowl tackle Ndamukong Suh when the NFL’s new year begins Wednesday, a person familiar with the situation said.

Suh’s release is anticipated unless he agrees to a significant contract restructuring, which is unlikely. He signed a $114 million, six-year deal with the Dolphins when he joined them in 2015, and his base salary this year would be $17 million.

“Stay tuned,” Suh said in a video on Twitter. “There will be some exciting news going on.”

Former Minnesota quarterback Case Keenum will sign with the Broncos, according to ESPN.

Kansas City has released one of its career sack leaders, Tamba Hali, and a stalwart of its secondary, Ron Parker.

The Bills moved up nine spots in the draft by swapping firstround picks with the Bengals, who acquired high-priced left tackle Cordy Glenn in the trade.

Soccer: Greece indefinitely suspended its league Monday, a day after the owner of PAOK Thessaloniki, Ivan Savvidis, marched onto the field accompanied by bodyguards, with what appeared to be a pistol in a holster on his waist. He made no move to use the weapon.

Fernando Varela had just scored in the 90th minute for PAOK against league leader AEK Athens, putting the hosts ahead 1-0. The referee signaled a goal but then seemed to disallow it for offside. The match eventually was abandoned.

Greece has faced a volatile league championship, with traditionally dominant Olympiakos in third, behind AEK and PAOK.
