Passed away in her Millbrae home on March 9, 2018 at the age of 91.

Vera is survived by her son, Stephen, her grandchild­ren Scott and Eileen, and her great-grandchild­ren Joseph and Olivia. She was preceded by her husband, Clarence and her son, John (Randy).

Vera was born on December 4, 1926 in Potaeu, Oklahoma to Bunjamin and Willie Doyle. She had 12 older siblings and was the first to graduate high school. She married Clarence Beale in 1946 and moved to California. Not only was Vera a loving mother and wife, she was extremely proud to have had two careers. She worked as a nurse for 20 years in San Bruno then retired as a Millbrae Police Dispatcher after 17 years of service. In retirement, Vera found a passion for oil painting. She became a well-known artist at the Millbrae Arts Associatio­n for many years and won numerous awards.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Dr., Millbrae with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Vera’s name to the American Red Cross.
