Facebook’s baseball and music pushes
Facebook is teaming up with Major League Baseball to air 25 afternoon games in an exclusive deal starting April 4. The games will be available to users in the U.S. on Facebook Watch, the Menlo Park company’s video feature, via the MLB Live show page. Meanwhile, Quartz reported that Facebook announced a “holistic partnership” with Warner Music Group for the label’s music to be used in items shared by users of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Oculus. Quartz said there are similar deals with Universal Music Group and Sony/ATV Music.
