Choirs share the spirit with outdoor songfest

San Francisco Chronicle Late Edition - - BAY AREA -

Pastor Bill Combs, above, enjoys a noon concert Thursday by the Community Music Center Older Adult Choirs from the Bayview, Western Addition and Ingleside neighborhoods, below, at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. The festival features free shows from May through October, with Thursday lunchtime concerts and weekend sessions with performances on three outdoor stages. Organizers say the festival reflects the rich cultures and creativity of the Bay Area. They stress that the programs in the San Francisco park are family-friendly and accessible.
