On Thurs­day, Au­gust 16, 2018, Robert Leo Bianco, lov­ing hus­band and fa­ther of three chil­dren passed away peace­fully at the age of 82. Bob was born July 14, 1936 in San Fran­cisco, Cal­i­for­nia to Mercedes and Leo Bianco. He grad­u­ated from St. Ig­natius High School in 1954 and the Univer­sity of San Fran­cisco in 1958. Later that year on Au­gust 31, 1958, he mar­ried Ger­ayne Ann Sol­heim. He grad­u­ated with hon­ors from the USF School of Law and joined the Army JAG Corp., at­tain­ing the rank of Cap­tain. Af­ter his ser­vice in the Army, he prac­ticed civil lit­i­ga­tion in San Fran­cisco for 56 years. In ad­di­tion to prac­tic­ing law, Bob was a pro­fes­sor at USF School of Law, teach­ing civil dis­cov­ery, trial prac­tice and le­gal ethics for 37 years. He even­tu­ally be­came a Ju­ror on the Napa County Grand Jury.

In ad­di­tion to his es­teemed law ca­reer, Bob also had a pas­sion for mak­ing wine and was an owner of Cyrus Creek Win­ery in the Napa Val­ley. He was an avid lover of opera mu­sic, pho­tog­ra­phy, gar­den­ing and trav­el­ing with his wife of 59 years. He was known for his quick wit, his in­fec­tious smile and his gen­er­ous, char­i­ta­ble, kind and com­pas­sion­ate spirit.

Bob is sur­vived by his wife, Ger­ayne, his three chil­dren Michael, Robert and Gre­gory, his brother Ron­ald, his sis­ter San­dra Breen and seven grand­chil­dren.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held on Septem­ber 28, 2018 at 10:00 am, at St. Ig­natius Church lo­cated at 650 Parker Street, San Fran­cisco.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily asks that memo­ri­als be made in his name to Col­labria Care Hospice of Napa Val­ley.
