Nationals sign Rosenthal
The Washington Nationals signed former St. Louis Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal to a one-year, $7 million contract with a conditional option for 2020.
Rosenthal, who hasn’t pitched since 2017 after
undergoing Tommy John surgery, can earn an additional $8 million in performance bonuses.
Tennis: Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer 7-6 (6), 5-7, 7-6 (3) in an epic Paris Masters semifinal lasting three hours. Djokovic will meet Karen Khachanov, a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Dominic Thiem, in Sunday’s final.

Donaire, 35, a former world champion at four weights, will take on WBO champion Zolani Tete in the semifinals next year.
