The road to hell is paved with ... com­pli­men­tary tweets? Well, it’s a lit­tle more com­pli­cated than that, but it started that way for Justin Tim­ber­lake. Af­ter a pow­er­ful speech Sun­day by “Grey’s Anatomy” ac­tor

Jesse Wil­liams at the BET Awards, Tim­ber­lake tweeted, “@iJesseWil­liams tho...#In­spired #BET2016.” As Peo­ple magazine re­ported, sev­eral peo­ple tweeted that Tim­ber­lake missed the key points by Wil­liams, who was hon­ored for rais­ing aware­ness about Black Lives Mat­ter. “So does this mean you're go­ing to stop ap­pro­pri­at­ing our mu­sic and cul­ture?” one per­son tweeted. Af­ter tweets es­ca­lated be­tween Tim­ber­lake and some of his crit­ics, the singer apol­o­gized “to any­one that felt I was out of turn.”
