YouTube is push­ing hard to com­pete with other con­tent plat­forms and has given the green light to Lion­s­gate’s se­ries “Step Up,” based on the film fran­chise of the same name.

Adam Shankman, Jen­nifer Gib­got and Mered­ith Mil­ton, who pro­duced the films, will exec-produce the se­ries, along with the stars of the first “Step Up” films, Channing Ta­tum and Jenna De­wan Ta­tum. Hulu has an­nounced cast­ing for “Di­men­sion 404,” a six-episode sci-fi se­ries from Fred­die Wong, Matthew Arnold and Dez Dolly of Rock­etJump. Cast mem­bers will in­clude Pat­ton Oswalt, Ash­ley Rickards and Ster­ling Beau­mon, as well as pre­vi­ously

an­nounced Joel McHale, Sarah Hyland, Lea Michele, Robert Buck­ley and Ryan Lee.
