A native San Franciscan and graduate of Balboa High School class of 1937. Upon graduation and before marrying Bud she worked at Sunshine Curtain Factory and after marriage she stayed home to raise her girls. After her girls were grown she went to work for the San Francisco Unified School District for 16 years and upon retirement enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, the loves of her life. She was always known as seeing the bright side of life and one tough Pedro player with her family and later with her friends at the Don Bosco Senior Club at Corpus Christi. She was also a member of the Swiss Athletic Club. She loved traveling and went to New York with Marlene and her granddaughter to see the sights and visit Little ltaly where her mother was born. At the age of 90 Marlene and Al took her to ltaly and Switzerland for her first trip to the old country where she saw the many sights of ltaly which was her ancestral home. She lived a very active life spending time with her family at Lake Tahoe and driving to and from San Francisco to Marin to visit her daughter and grandchildren, driving until the age of 96 when her daughters finally convinced her it was time to retire her vehicle.
The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Home Extended Care facility who took loving care of her the past two years, we will be forever grateful for their help.
