Vi­o­let Bohme

Vi­o­let (Amoroso) Bohme passed away peace­fully on Jan­uary 1, 2018 at the age of 98, she was the beloved wife of the late Fran­cis (Bud) Bohme; lov­ing mother of Mar­lene (Al­fonso) Moresi and Carol Amer­son; grand­mother to Ni­cholas Moresi and Rachella Moresi (Robert Swan­son); and great­grand­mother to Leo and Lo­gan Swan­son.

A na­tive San Fran­cis­can and grad­u­ate of Bal­boa High School class of 1937. Upon grad­u­a­tion and be­fore mar­ry­ing Bud she worked at Sun­shine Cur­tain Fac­tory and af­ter mar­riage she stayed home to raise her girls. Af­ter her girls were grown she went to work for the San Fran­cisco Uni­fied School Dis­trict for 16 years and upon re­tire­ment en­joyed tak­ing care of her grand­chil­dren, the loves of her life. She was al­ways known as see­ing the bright side of life and one tough Pe­dro player with her fam­ily and later with her friends at the Don Bosco Senior Club at Cor­pus Christi. She was also a mem­ber of the Swiss Ath­letic Club. She loved trav­el­ing and went to New York with Mar­lene and her grand­daugh­ter to see the sights and visit Lit­tle ltaly where her mother was born. At the age of 90 Mar­lene and Al took her to ltaly and Switzer­land for her first trip to the old coun­try where she saw the many sights of ltaly which was her an­ces­tral home. She lived a very ac­tive life spend­ing time with her fam­ily at Lake Ta­hoe and driv­ing to and from San Fran­cisco to Marin to visit her daugh­ter and grand­chil­dren, driv­ing un­til the age of 96 when her daugh­ters fi­nally con­vinced her it was time to re­tire her ve­hi­cle.

The fam­ily would like to thank the staff at Golden Home Ex­tended Care fa­cil­ity who took lov­ing care of her the past two years, we will be for­ever grate­ful for their help.

Friends are in­vited to at­tend a Fu­neral Mass on Fri­day, Jan­uary 19, 2018 at 10:00am at Cor­pus Christi Church, 62 Santa Rosa Av­enue, San Fran­cisco. Com­mit­tal Ital­ian Ceme­tery, Colma.
