Glo­ria Ash­brook, at rest at the age of 96. Glo­ria was born on Oakwood Street in the Mis­sion Dis­trict of San Fran­cisco to Ri­naldo & Minnie Chiosso in 1921. It was there she met her true love, Don­ald (Ozzie) Ash­brook. They were mar­ried for 66 won­der­ful years un­til Ozzie’s pass­ing in 2011. Adored mother of Gary Ash­brook and daugh­ter-in­law, Mar­i­lyn Ash­brook. She was a cher­ished grandma to Kim­berly O’Brien (Kekoa) and Ja­son Ash­brook. She was pre­ceded in death by her broth­ers Ray­mond & Louis Chiosso and sis­ters Dorothy Campi & Eleanor Fuller. Glo­ria loved to be around peo­ple, singing, danc­ing and play­ing Bingo. She was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Ital­ian Catholic Fed­er­a­tion Branch #258. Glo­ria worked un­til the age of 85 in sales. She spent the first half of her ca­reer sell­ing bak­ery goods and the sec­ond half sell­ing real es­tate. She ex­celled at both. Adored aunt and great aunt to many nieces and neph­ews. Spe­cial ap­pre­ci­a­tion to her niece, Frances Heidt for all her love and kind­ness. Many thanks for the won­der­ful care given to Glo­ria by the staff at Home Sweet Home and Heart­land Hospice. Friends may visit on Tues­day morn­ing, Jan­uary 16, 2018 at Saint El­iz­a­beth’s Church, cor­ners of Som­er­set & Way­land Streets, San Fran­cisco. The Rosary & vis­i­ta­tion will be­gin at 10:00 AM fol­lowed by a Fu­neral Mass at 11:00 AM. Com­mit­tal to fol­low at Holy Cross Ceme­tery in Colma. In lieu of flow­ers the fam­ily would pre­fer do­na­tions in Glo­ria’s mem­ory to the Sale­sian Boys and Girls Club in San Fran­cisco or to a char­ity of your choice.
