Gov­er­nor, wife test pos­i­tive

Mis­souri Gov. Mike Par­son, a Repub­li­can who has stead­fastly re­fused to re­quire res­i­dents to wear masks, tested pos­i­tive for the coro­n­avirus, his of­fice said Wed­nes­day. Par­son was tested af­ter his wife, Teresa, tested pos­i­tive ear­lier in the day. Two other GOP gov­er­nors also have tested pos­i­tive for COVID­19, though Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s test turned out to be a false pos­i­tive. Ok­la­homa Gov. Kevin Stitt be­came the first gov­er­nor to test pos­i­tive in July. He re­turned to work less than two weeks later.
