Palo Alto High team wins math honor

A teamof Palo Alto High math stu­dents was one of four schools to win the high­est honor in the In­ter­na­tional High School Math­e­mat­i­cal Con­test in Mod­el­ing. The com­pet­ing teams re­ceived a com­mon prob­lem in mid-April and five days to work to­gether on it. Mem­bers were Kathryn Li, Al­li­son Zhang, Eric Foster and An­drew Lee. They were ad­vised by math su­per­vi­sor Radu Toma. They won an ex­pense-paid trip to Hong Kong in July to re­ceive their award.
