NIGERIAN DRUMMER AKEEM AYANNIYI: Join the Main Library at 1:30 p.m. for a demonstration of the traditional talking drum and the ashiko, djembe and bata drums. Experience traditional Yoruba stories, rituals and mythology through drumming, storytelling and dance. The free event is sponsored by Southwest Roots Music. MUSEUM HILL COMMUNITY DAY: The Museum Hill Partners — which include the International Folk Art Alliance, Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, Museum of International Folk Art, Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, the National Park Service, the Santa Fe Botanical Garden and the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian — join forces for Community Day. Admission to all museums and the Botanical Garden will be free. The event, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, the 30th anniversary of the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture and the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, and the 80th anniversary of the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian. Activities include a matanza, Native dances, storytelling, live music and artist demonstrations.
