INTO THE UNKNOWN
CAVING DOC IS A TALE OF HORRORS AND HEROES
“You just cannot practice facing a dead friend at 110 meters.” That sums up the drama of Diving into the Unknown, a cave-diving documentary by director Juan Reina, a tale of friendship, commitment and coping with loss released on itunes and DVD this spring. The 85-minute film shot in Finnish and English with English subtitles recounts the story of two teams of Finnish divers who enter a cave in Norway’s Plura River. A blocked passage and a moment of panic claim two lives. When the risky official recovery operation is called off, the survivors set out on a secret mission to retrieve the bodies themselves.
