Seabourn Club Herald - - IN THIS ISSUE -

from Richard Meadows

As the new year unfolds, all of us at Seabourn are thrilled to have our beautiful new Seabourn Encore underway following her gala inauguration in Singapore. Many of your favorite officers and crew members were on board as the new ship was formally named by the internationally acclaimed soprano Sarah Brightman. She is now sailing her maiden season in spectacular Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Seabourn Sojourn continues to explore exotic Southeast Asia before sailing north through China, South Korea and Japan. Seabourn Odyssey is moving from Central America and the Panama Canal to the azure seas and sun-blessed isles of Seabourn’s Uncommon Caribbean. Seabourn Quest is once again sailing the furthest ends of the earth for her annual adventures in Antarctica & Patagonia.

This issue of your Club Herald previews more destinations our fleet will be visiting in the near future. Alaska and British Columbia is one of our most photogenic destinations, and Alaska native Loren Holmes offers professional tips on capturing the most memorable images during Seabourn Sojourn’s first season there next summer. Tangier is likewise a treasure trove for photographers, and Andrew Maclear is another pro with advice for exploring Morocco’s intriguing cultural capital. Other articles examine Venetian heritage in Corfu and cuisine in Finland.

You’ll also find exciting news about the innovative new Sushi dining alternative on Seabourn Encore, as well as our groundbreaking Spa & Wellness with Dr. Andrew Weil program, aimed at expanding our guests’ mental, physical and spiritual well-being while they cruise.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Club Herald, and look forward to welcoming you back on board soon. Sincerely, Richard Meadows President
