BBC in­ter­views lo­cal vet

Rob Walker of the BBC of London, Eng­land ar­ranged for Keith Davis to go to the Ec­cles Broad­cast house on the U. of U. Cam­pus for the in­ter­view. Rob wanted to talk about WW II. Keith told him about his time in Europe. They talked about Utah Beach, Sub­ma­rine Base at Brest, France, St. Lo., go­ing through Paris, Bat­tle of the Bulge, Cross­ing the Rhine River on a Pon­toon Bridge at Koblenze, Ger­many, The Ohrdruf Con­cen­tra­tion Camp, fight­ing through Nurem­burg and meet­ing the Rus­sian Army in Cze­choslo­vakia and cel­e­brat­ing V.E. Day on May 8, 1945.

Rob told Keith about his Grand­mother as a child liv­ing through the V-1 bombing on London and the Luft­waffe air raids. She was hit by a small piece of shrap­nel near her eye and still has it with her to­day. Keith and Rob talked for an hour about the war. Both men know that Free­dom is not Free.
