Addictions class beginning Jan. 7
Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, Jan. 7, the holistic, Energy Healing class “Understanding and Healing Addictions” will begin at Beehive Health Essentials, 846 Expressway Lane, Spanish Fork (next to Kmart).
The class, which had its humble beginnings in 2009, was first intended for healing
individuals only with substance addiction. Success and love for the class spread
rapidly, and the class has now become recognized by Utah County’s Drug Court for fulfilling “outside” classroom requirements. As the class continued to grow in popularity, individuals with health disorders related to addiction wanted to extend the class to include people with smoking addiction, compulsive overeating, sexual and pornographic compulsion, depression, PTSD and those just feeling “stuck” and overwhelmed with day-to-day life. It quickly became evident to me that everyone has a ball and chain whether they want to recognize it or not.
It’s common knowledge that stress has a direct negative impact upon our health, but science now confirms what energy healers have known for a long time: the daily stresses of life affect the physiology and DNA of our bodies. We can’t escape the fact that everyday living brings experiences of both joy and pain. But when individuals begin to feel burdened and overwhelmed with life, they seek relief from their “emotional pain” through medications that were never designed for long term physical use.
Energy Healing, once viewed as an unconventional therapy for individuals suffering with substance addiction, is now being embraced and integrated by health practitioners throughout Utah County. Class sponsors who will actively participate as guest lecturers in the class include Dr. Randy Lundell of Spanish Fork, Dr. Gordon Stapel of Springville, Dr. Jay Anderson of Spanish Fork, Nina Isaacson, MSOM, L.Ac, and product sponsor Twinlab of American Fork, which has generously donated product for the entirety of the 17-week curriculum.
The course, created and taught by Medical Intuitive and Master Energetic Healer Patricia Amadon of Mapleton, is truly for all members of the community. The class is free of charge, but a minimum donation of $5 per class or canned food items is encouraged. All contributions are donated to the Utah County Food Coalition in Provo and Teen Challenge USA, a worldwide Chris-
tian-based life school for those suffering from substance abuse addiction.
Class curriculum includes nutritional therapy and subconscious belief re-programming. The way we “see” ourselves on the deepest core level of our being has a direct impact upon how we choose to live our lives. From basic survival instincts to inherited generational beliefs, these belief systems can be likened to the default settings on your personal computer. Belief systems become ingrained at a very early age, yet those same beliefs run our lives as adults. When we learn how our beliefs create our perceptions and how our perceptions create our experiences, we feel inspired and hopeful in our abilities to shape our future. Energy Healing has proven to be the most gentle and permanent therapy to enhance our life experiences. Graduates of the class have expressed that their lives that were once “run on auto-pilot” now have direction and clarity.
One graduate, Anna F. of Spanish Fork, praised the class by saying, “I learned to understand my relationships with myself and others, to move past the traumatic life stories that were on replay in my head. I don’t believe ‘once an addict always an addict.’ An addict is not who I am anymore. Now I see my life as an exciting opportunity to learn.”
Everyone deserves a life filled with happiness and the clarity to move beyond their negative experiences. True healing happens when all aspects of one’s life is balanced.
