San­taquin Amer­i­can Le­gion Aux­il­iary plans fundraiser

Mark your cal­en­dars now on Fri­day, April 1. The San­taquin Amer­i­can Le­gion Aux­il­iary Post #84 is hav­ing an “April Fool” Spring Fling din­ner and bingo fundraiser that evening. Cost is $7.50 per per­son. The buf­fet menu will in­clude BBQ pulled pork, cole slaw, rolls, baked beans, chips and a va­ri­ety of sal­ads and dessert. The bingo games will be free with the din­ner.

There will also be a spe­cial prize for our “April Fool” crazy hat con­test. Door prize tick­ets will also be for sale. The din­ner will be held in the San­taquin Se­nior Ci­ti­zen/Veter­ans Cen­ter lo­cated at 45 W. 100 South in San­taquin at 6 p.m. Please RSVP to Chris Richins by call­ing 801754-l131 by March 25.

The fundraiser this year is for In­de­pen­denceFund.org. The fund pro­vides tools, ther­a­pies and re­sources to Amer­ica’s com­bat wounded veter­ans. You can check out their 2015 an­nual re­port on line. The fund is best known for its “Track Chairs,” which are all-ter­rain wheel­chairs that al­low the veter­ans to go al­most any­where, in­clud­ing hunt­ing and stream fish­ing, so they can have a more nor­mal life.
