San­taquin Fam­ily Dis­cov­ery Day planned on March 12

The San­taquin Fam­ily His­tory Cen­ter is spon­sor­ing a free Fam­ily Dis­cov­ery Day on March 12 from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. at 45 S. 500 West in San­taquin. The cen­ter will be of­fer­ing free classes to help res­i­dents with their fam­ily his­tory re­search. Pre­sen­ters this year will in­clude in­struc­tors from the Utah Ge­nealog­i­cal As­so­ci­a­tion and Root­sTech.

Class ti­tles will in­clude “Fam­ily His­tory for Youth – By Youth,” “A Sur­vey of Mid­west States Records,” “Har­vest­ing the Nuts, Lemons and Bad Ap­ples That Have Fallen From Your Fam­ily Tree,” “Kids and the Ties That Bind,” “Fast Ac­cu­rate Re­search Us­ing: Fam­i­lySearch, Google, Af­fil­i­ate and Other Ge­neal­ogy Web­sites,” “Clean­ing up Fam­i­lyTree: Cre­at­ing a Com­plete Record,” “Us­ing News­pa­pers in Re­search: You sNEWS you Lose,” “En­do­line Brick­wall Presents: Find Your Cousins,” and “Tips to Avoid Bark­ing Up the Wrong Fam­ily Tree.”
