As the Springville Cham­ber of Com­merce, we are happy to in­tro­duce our own Shop Lo­cal cam­paign. By choos­ing lo­cal and in­de­pen­dent busi­ness for your ser­vices, shop­ping, din­ing and other needs, you not only en­joy a more dis­tinc­tive and per­sonal ex­pe­ri­ence, but you also help:

Build Com­mu­nity: The ca­sual en­coun­ters you en­joy at neigh­bor­hood busi­ness build re­la­tion­ships with oth­ers and cre­ate an en­vi­ron­ment of so­cial net­work­ing.

Cre­ate a Health­ier En­vi­ron­ment: In­de­pen­dent, com­mu­nity-serv­ing busi­ness are peo­ple-sized. They typ­i­cally con­sume less land, carry more lo­cally made prod­ucts, lo­cate closer to res­i­dents and cre­ate less traf­fic and pol­lu­tion.

Lower Taxes: More ef­fi­cient land use and more cen­tral lo­ca­tions mean lo­cal busi­nesses put less de­mand on our roads, sew­ers and safety ser­vices. They also gen­er­ate more tax rev­enue per sales rev­enue. The end re­sult is you ben­e­fit from lower taxes.

Cre­ate Jobs and Op­por­tu­ni­ties: Not only do in­de­pen­dent busi­ness em­ploy more peo­ple di­rectly per dol­lar of rev­enue, but they also are the cus­tomers of lo­cal print­ers, whole­salers, farms, etc., ex­pand­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for lo­cal res­i­dents.

Strengthen Your Lo­cal Econ­omy: We love our lo­cal busi­nesses, and en­cour­age all of you to shop lo­cal!
